Dispute between District Attorney and Police Union

We all know that words are very powerful and we should be careful with what we say. George Gascon, District Attorney in San Francisco, has openly criticized the police union which he had worked closely with for years. His largest concern has been the police department’s diversity of employees. Gary Delagnes, a former president of the Police Officers Association stated that the police union makes it difficult to enact any type of reform when it comes to diversity among hires. Delagnes was on the police force for 25 years. He was also president of the POA for nine years. He retired in 2013. He remembers a 2010 dinner which Gascon was meeting for a police union leadership conference. Gascon was drinking heavily and making several derogatory remarks about minorities. He became loud and was approached by an African American who said his family was offended by his behavior and remarks.

With two men at odds, both tried to communicate better and handle situations in a more professional manner. Both men having ties with police work soon won out over their differences. They continued to work on matters of diversity and both men handled themselves with class and professionalism. Both agreed that nothing good would come from discussions that were meant to be personal. Off the record discussions were probably taken out of context and when both men disagreed they used their own words to create negative publicity. Both men have served his prospective jobs well and with class and dignity.

Crystal Hunt is an actress and producer in the United States. She was born on February 7, 1985 in Florida. At the age of 17, Crystal embraced the role of Lizzie Spaulding on the CBS daytime soap opera, Guiding Light. Crystal continued on Guiding Light for four years, earning popularity among fans and recognition with an Emmy nomination.

Crystal began her film career in a family movie with Zac Efron called The Derby Stallion. Hunt later appeared in a romantic comedy with Amanda Bynes, Sydney White.

Melissa Click Tells Her Side of the Story

In November of 2015, Melissa Click became a national name and attained celebrity, but not in the way she was hoping. Click is a communications professor at the University of Missouri who was filmed trying to remove journalists who were covering student protests on campus. She used an unfortunate phrase calling for “some muscle” to escort one particular journalist away. The public backlash to the video of Click was intense.


Many who saw the video felt it was a blatant attack on the First Amendment right to the freedom of speech and also to the idea of freedom of the press. Click was severely punished in the aftermath. She was suspended from teaching while the university investigated the matter and she even suffered legal charges. Melissa click was formally charged with misdemeanor assault and local lawmakers have also demanded she be fired from her position. Some threats were even made against her and she has been the subject of insult and ridicule on a frequent basis.


Click feels that her words were taken out of context and that she has been treated unfairly. She wants to tell her side of the story. In order to get her side of things out to the public, Click sought the help of Status Labs a reputation management and public relations firm based in Austin, Texas. Status Labs arranged for Click to give several interviews with the press in the hopes of clearing her name and character.


First, Melissa Click apologizes for the words she spoke on that day. She says she truly did not intend harm to come to any journalists as a result of her action and her words came out from a burst of irrational anger. She just hopes that her critics will remember that she has been teaching students for 12 years and was respected as a teacher the entire time. She acknowledges her error in judgment and asks the public for forgiveness.

Rising Prices Driving out Residents

The bay are is the undisputed technological capital of the World, as just about every major internet and technological company has their company rooted between the major cities of San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland. The entire bay area has expanded in a myriad of ways over the last few years, jobs have been created as companies have poured in, but there have been a ton of problems that have come as well. First and foremost is the fact that housing prices have gone through the roof. Homes in San Jose have blossomed up to well over a million dollars, and to rent a moderate apartment in San Francisco, you would be lucky to be paying less then four or five thousand dollars. The entire bay area has seen a massive increase in traffic, with special lanes being constructed and tolls being paid to drive in certain lanes during rush hour.
There is one thing that just over a third of all people in the region have on their minds, and that is getting out of the area. For people that have lived in the bay area for their entire lives, which is a truly amazing place to live, it is incredibly bitter sweet to make the decision to leave. However, when you consider the fact that just by moving over to the Central Valley, you could buy five houses of equal value and likely put enough money in the bank to be set for life. This is especially true if you were doing decent to well in the bay area in recent years. Polls have showed that the bulk of people that want to leave have only been in the area for five years or less, but it really is remarkable to see so many people wanting to leave one of the areas that a ton of people consider one of the most desirable places in the country. Top notch weather, ample high paying jobs, a beautiful landscape, and large amounts of entertainment are not something that most people flee from, so the rising problems in the Bay Area in terms of housing costs and traffic are starting to become very apparent.

Spring Cleaning is Quicker with Handy

Spring cleaning is that wonderful time of year – depending on who you ask – where you get rid of the clutter and make your home new again. I get contractors from Handy to come out and help me clean the home from top to bottom. I book the services online and I let these contractors come in and do their jobs.

The Handy Cleaning Services business is booming, and I think that this company is the best that is out there. I used a local maid services company before. They were okay, but I just didn’t get the same level of quality that Handy gave. I became a loyal customer after getting my home cleaned last year around this time. Spring cleaning is becoming a regular thing with Handy. I love the way that this company is getting exposure, and I think that they really deserve it. The services are always good, and their work is something that I always brag about.

Spring cleaning is a dusty season, but I don’t worry about it much. I am allergic to dust, but I leave Handy in charge of clearing the dust. They wipe down the store, the refrigerator and the blinds that are all over the house. This saves me a lot of time and helps from refrain from a ton of sneezing. This alone is worth the price that is paid for this company to do the cleaning.

Coincidentally, the price that is paid isn’t much. It is actually much more affordable than I realized. I have hired some other cleaners in the past that have done less but cost more. That is why I stay with Handy. This is an affordable company that brings quality to the forefront. I like the fact that these contractors go out of their way to make sure that the customers are pleased.
